Haiku Tokyo Reviews
We like this place. It's not cheap. So we expect to spend a good $50 for a family of 4. But, the food has never disappointed.
Nice Japanese restaurant. The service was very friendly. Very clean. Unfortunately we couldn't try their food due to the fact that it is not vegetarian. But none the less it smelled very yummy there.
We visited for the first time. This is located in San Tan Village and has a few tables outside and lots of seating inside. When you enter you go to the counter to order, pay and they will give you a beeper to notify you when the food is ready. We were the only two inside at the time (around 5pm on a Wednesday) and the food came out in about 5 minutes. You carry the tray over to your table and grab any spoons/chopsticks needed at the counter. When you finish eating there's a place by the teach cans to place your dishes/trays, etc. The overall ambiance is very casual, spacious and clean. I got the tonkatsu ramen with beef and my friend got the House Special Ramen with pork. We both thought the broth was flavorful, had a good spice to it but definitely not too spicy by any means. It's mainly a bunch of ramen, with about 4 slices of protein, 1 egg, and some veggies. It's not the best ramen I've ever had but certainly not the worst! The price is about $10-12 an entree. I'd come back here again.
I was craving some Ramen for a cold winter afternoon and realized I had never tried this place. Went ahead and ordered their house special. The base is pork broth and I ordered shrimp for meat. The food arrived hot. This place has the best packing I have seen. The ramen was on the top and miso broth at the bottom. No leaks, so well presented like in restaurant and looked fantastic. I couldn't wait to indulge and the first bite, oh so yummm. The flavors, the ramen, shrimp, soy beans, everything blended well and tasted amazing. I just kept covering my face with the food. It was one of the best ramen I have had in recent times. The price is reasonable and the food fantastic. I would highly recommend and I have found my go to place.
I took the take-out through doordash. On doordash it has a different name (Aria Korean Street Food) so it could be confusing. I think the food tastes pretty authentic - kids love it. The only thing I wish that could be different is the portion; thought it could be bigger given the price tag. Nevertheless it is tasty!
